A Prayer in the Dark Valley

Scripture Reading: Psalm 23

Great Shepherd, I fear not. Not because there is nothing to fear. Evil lurks about plotting against me. Death’s long shadow darkens my path and dims your light. I fear not. Not because I am strong and brave. I am neither. I fear not because you are with me. You are Light in the dark valley, Life in the face of death. When I remember and trust that you are with me, I fear not.
