Adopted
Today we finished with a session on the nature of our relationship with God. I spoke for a long time on the concept of adoption as it related to the relationship we have with God through Jesus Christ.
It gave me the opportunity to give a clear explanation of the gospel and faith. Even though this is a conference for pastors and church leaders, we can’t assume anything.
The after lunch sessions are always the most difficult because it’s hot and it has been a long day. So I always try to do a lot of interactive things in my teaching. They seem to enjoy it. Finding good illustrations and questions that communicate across cultures is challenging but not impossible.
Derrick, Mark, and I rode the pousse-pousse (it means something like push push) to an ice cream shop to wait on the ladies. They had gone to visit a woman who had become a believer and lived outside the city in a rural area.
It sounds like they had an interesting time as they were joined by a drunkard or insane man once they arrived. He apparently thought he was a part of their group. Monica said she was way outside of her comfort zone but I’m confident she handled it well.

In the “push-push” … Derick seems only riding-observing as the driver is pedaling-pedaling
Go Monica!!!
