Banyan (not Bunyan)
Amber bought some candy and gave out gospel tracts to some children and women outside of a store near downtown. We hung out there for a bit until the Carlson family, missionaries living here, picked us up around noon and took lunch.
After lunch we stopped by a small park/courtyard where about 10 large banyan trees fill the property. My understanding is these particular trees were imported from India by a Frenchman who did so as a gift to his wife. I had seen them on my last trip here but Monica hadn’t. So we went.
We found out our flight back to Tana was going to be delayed two hours. That gave us time for a relaxing ice cream break and a chance to catch a quick nap.
We arrived in Tana around 11:30. Mark picked us up at the airport and took us to our next stop.
Derrick will be preaching in the morning. It’s going to be short night.

Beautiful trees and wonderful experiences for you and Monica. Thanks for sharing highlights of your mission trip.
