Conference Day Two Begins

Going into this we realized the difficulties of tackling Theology Proper in this setting. The abstract nature of the subjects, the language barriers, and the technical terminology necessary (Today Derrick is talking about the hypostatic union of Christ) all make communication challenging.

We were able to talk through some of the issues during and after the meeting yesterday, and come into today with eyes open to the barriers to clear communication.

That doesn’t mean we have conquered all of these issues, but we are more aware of them. It is good to have these things to work through. It makes us more reliant on Christ. It makes us more aware of our need of the Holy Spirit’s help.

Pray for us. Pray that we would speak in ways that would bring clarity not confusion. Pray that the abstract ideas about God’s nature would produce concrete love for and worship of the Lord of Whom we speak.
