Give Thanks
Yesterday I was teaching in one session on the goodness of God. After talking about many of the ways we see and experience God’s goodness in this world, I said the best way to respond to His goodness is to give praise and thanks.
Then, I asked if five participants wanted to thank God for something. Immediately several participants volunteered. After five people had spoken, expressing gratitude for things God had done in their lives, the translator told me, “They want to know if more of them can speak?”
Well, how could I say no to that?
I’m grateful for a grateful people, grateful in the midst of poverty and hardship, able to see the goodness of God through the harshness of this life.
