God Did That

Scripture Reading: Nehemiah 6:16

When all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.

One way to silence your critics is to accomplish something that could not be accomplished without the help of God. When those who oppose you perceive that God helped you, they realize they are fighting on the wrong side.

Of course, that requires that we do something bigger and greater than we can do on our own. It demands faith from us. It challenges us to pursue something that is beyond our grasp, something we can’t buy, something we can’t manufacture, something that will leave us hanging if God doesn’t step in and make it happen.

We all need things to pursue that once we have captured them, we will have to say that only God could have made that happen.

We need to go after that which others will perceive was “accomplished with the help of our God.”
