Good Popularity
Scripture Reading: Esther 10:3
"For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people."
Most people want to be liked; social media thrives on the quest for "friends" and "followers." But when we make popularity a goal, it can lead us to compromise our values. We become performers, living for “clicks” and “likes,” rather than living with integrity.
Mordecai, however, wasn’t trying to be popular. He was focused on serving others and speaking peace, which made him truly respected. His popularity was a byproduct of genuine character, not self-promotion.
Instead of seeking approval, let’s focus on caring for others and speaking words that uplift. When we seek the welfare of others, true respect and appreciation often follow naturally.
