Hatred

John 19:12-16

Hatred is a polluting poison. It seeps into your soul and corrupts every part of your being. The priestly class of Jesus’ day so hated Him they were willing to say something that, up until that moment, they would have considered treasonous and blasphemous; “We have no king but Caesar.”

They said what they thought they had to say to get Jesus killed. That’s what hatred does to you. You will justify violating your principles and values, you will convince yourself that you can lie about what you believe to satisfy your desire to destroy that which you hate.

There is a lot to hate in this world today. There is a lot of hatred going around. Don’t let hatred poison your soul or your will end up compromising what you consider to be your most treasured principles to satisfy your blood lust.
