In Him

The key theme for chapter one is set in verse three where Paul writes, “[God] has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing…”
We see this idea of possessing blessing due to our being “in Christ” scattered like precious seed throughout the chapter:
He chose us in him…
[He] blessed us in the Beloved…
In Him we have redemption through his blood…
In Him we have obtained an inheritance…
In Him you also…were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit…
Those are just the broad outlines of what we have by virtue of being in Christ. You should read the full chapter to get the details. This is a wonderful text for us to meditate on, pray through, study, and trust in.
The Christian is placed in Christ and in Him we are blessed with every spiritual blessing imaginable.
