The man who prays this way recognizes his limitations. He sees how insufficient and small he is in himself. He also knows that there is “a strong tower” upon whom he can stand and find salvation and rescue.
When we pray “lead me to the rock that is higher than I” God answers by leading us to The Rock, Jesus Christ.
When you feel small, overwhelmed, insufficient, unable to cope, without strength, and/or lacking wisdom pray Psalm 61.
