God's judgment on a nation

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 3:1-12

You can tell a lot about where a nation stands with God by looking at its leaders. God’s judgment came upon Judah in many forms. One of the ways God expressed His displeasure was through the leaders He appointed for the nation.

I will make boys their princes and infants shall rule over them…For a man will take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying: “You have a cloak; you shall be our leader…” My people – infants are their oppressors and women rule over them.

Poor leadership is one of the ways we can discern God’s assessment or our nation.

No wonder Paul exhorted us to pray for all those in leadership. May we be faithful in doing so. Poor leaders create bad nations and bad nations create poor leaders.
