Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians chapter three
In 1 Thessalonians 3, (Linked above), Paul shares his concern for the church in Thessalonica, which was enduring persecution. Fearing that these hardships might weaken their faith, he sent Timothy to encourage them and to see how they were holding up. When Timothy returned with good news of their steadfastness, he noted that they still longed to see Paul, a sign of their enduring faith.
A key warning sign of spiritual struggle is when someone withdraws from the fellowship of believers. Distancing oneself from the church and those who played a role in one’s faith journey can often indicate a heart drifting from God.
Paul found reassurance in the Thessalonians’ desire for connection, which reflected their strong faith. Let’s pray for those who may be withdrawing from the faith community, and encourage them to remain connected.

Thank you for another timely message. It is very concerning at the number of professing Christians who no longer meet with the church family to worship and study GOD’S WORD!
