Seven Reason to Not Worry
Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:25-34
I have these listed in a Bible I have had for decades. So, I can’t recall if this was original or borrowed. Maybe a little of both. If this came from someone else, thanks to them. Here are seven reasons why we don’t need to worry.
1. Worry is needless (verses 25-26) – God has done the big thing. He has created us and the world in which we live. Although fallen, this world was designed by God to sustain our lives and meet our needs.
2. Worry is senseless (verse 26) – It doesn't make sense to worry when we consider who we are concerning the world God created and where we fit into it.
3. Worry is useless (verse 27) – Worry doesn’t change anything.
4. Worry is faithless (verse 28-30) – Worry is a lack of trust in God to meet our needs.
5. Worry is godless (verse 30) – Worry is practical atheism. That is, worry is acting as if God doesn’t exist even when we might profess to believe in God and His rule over this world.
6. Worry is Fatherless (verses 31-32) – Jesus wants us to see God as our heavenly Father. When we worry, we are like children stuffing their pockets with food today for fear that their father won’t give them anything tomorrow.
7. Worry is pointless (verses 32-34) – Worry doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrows, it only robs today of its strength. It doesn’t help us and doesn’t change anything for the better. It serves no purpose.
Therefore, do not worry about your life.

Needed this one today! I'm a big worrier! Thank you!
