Slow Down

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 19:2

It is good to remind ourselves of simple wisdom like, “haste makes waste.” This proverb makes a similar point. We live in a fast-paced world where everyone seems to be going somewhere – always. Very few people are in slow-down mode for long. Those that are, have been forced into it for physical or circumstantial reasons, not because they chose to.

So, once in a while it is good for us to remind ourselves to slow down, and think about where we want to go (that’s the first half of the verse) before we start our feet to moving. Otherwise, we will end up missing the way we should have gone.
