Taking a Test

Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 1:3-7

Peter writing to the scattered, exiled saints tells them that what they were going through was a trial of their faith. The troubles they were experiencing were the refiner's fire, testing and purifying their faith.

A sports writer once asked Heavyweight Champion Gene Tunney, “How did you get a body like that?”

Tunney replied, “Every day I pushed against tremendous resistance, and it sculpted my body into what you see today and made me a champion.”

The trials you are going through are one of God’s means to sculpt you into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
