Thank You
A request
The fall schedule is getting near and it includes two trips that land back-to-back. The first will be a trip to India followed by a trip to Madagascar. In India I will be teaching a small group on the subject of interpreting Scripture. In Madagascar I will be doing a follow-up from last year and teaching on expository preaching. The close proximity if the trips is not ideal, but it is how things worked out.
When I go to India we will be doing something I have wanted to do for years. Instead of our usual venue (meeting in a church with those who travel in usually sleeping on the floor and having cooks feed everyone at the church) we are arranging to rent a retreat facility. The attendees will be staying at the retreat center with their wives and children. We will have some ladies who will provide teaching and activities for the children during the day. The evenings will be time for fellowship and fun, with teaching taking place during the day.
This will be an opportunity for the attendees to be refreshed physically as well as a chance to learn and grow spiritually. It will be a time of great blessing for them to enjoy this kind of setting, something they would not have a chance to do in the normal course of their lives.
This is where the “thank you” comes into play. This will be more expensive than what I normally do. The funds for this will be in part through those of you who have supported First Light by paying a monthly or yearly subscription. What has come in won’t cover the whole expense of this conference, but it will go a long way toward making it a reality. What has been given through those subscriptions will be about 1/2 of what is needed to cover the expenses.
If you would like to contribute to this and the upcoming ministry trips to India and Madagascar, you can do so through Equipping Pastors International. Just click on this link and it will take you to the page where you can find out how to give.
Thank you.
