That is Incredible!

Scripture Reading: Acts 26:1-8

              When Paul makes his defense in front of Agrippa he asks, “Why is this thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?” It is a great question that challenges the validity of one’s beliefs. Do you believe in a God who created the universe “ex nihilo?” Yes? Then why should it be thought impossible that God could raise the dead? Do you believe God is omnipotent? Yes? Then isn’t it within the power of an all-powerful God to raise the dead? Do you believe the revelation of God as given to us in the Scriptures? Yes? Then hasn’t that word told us that the dead will be raised to life? Hasn’t that word told us that Christ Jesus, the first fruits of the resurrection, was raised from the dead?

              Then, again, why is thought incredible that God raises the dead?
