Transition
Early this morning the Phillips started the drive back to Tana. We will fly there later this evening. I had hoped to be able to get out and walk around a bit but right now it raining again.
Yesterday it turned cooler. I can’t say it’s cold, but the wind blowing in from the ocean and the cloudy skies makes 70 feel cold to me.
Maybe we will catch a break later this morning.
This morning at breakfast Monica said she wished she could take the sound of the ocean waves home and have it as background noise for breakfast there.
It is calming. There’s a steady rhythm to it. I find it hard to describe the sound of the waves’ steady assault on the beach that is succeeded by the explosion of it is suddenly halted by the island.
